Welcome to The Human Equation Tapes Children’s Series

Empowering Parents and Children though Stories, Coloring Pages and Activities to Help Kids Grow from the Inside Out

As parents and caregivers, we all want the best for our children. We want to help them become strong, thoughtful, and emotionally balanced, but life moves fast, and parenting comes without a manual. That’s where The Human Equation Tapes Children’s Series gently steps in. This is not a set of instructions or a theory on parenting. Instead, it’s a collection of stories, images, and printable activities designed to support what you’re already doing — helping your child grow into themselves with confidence, calm, and self-awareness.

This series was created out of a lifetime of personal experience with The Human Equation philosophy — a simple idea that has helped many people navigate challenges, emotions, and relationships. It centers around one core concept:

Your Values × Your Beliefs = Your Quality of Life

While those words might seem big for a child, their meaning is not. This series takes the heart of that message and presents it in ways that are simple, relatable, and soothing for young children. Through imaginative storytelling and playful artwork, your child is gently introduced to ideas like:

  • Recognizing and naming emotions

  • Believing in their ability to choose how they respond

  • Practicing calm and thoughtful actions

  • Feeling proud of their own inner strength

These are not lessons in behavior — they are reflections of who a child already is at their best. And for parents, it’s not about adding “one more thing to do.” It’s about having a peaceful moment together: a story at bedtime, a conversation after school, a coloring page at the kitchen table.

Why Stories? Why Now?

Stories create a safe space for kids to explore big ideas in little moments. Instead of telling children what to think or how to behave, these stories help them experience what it feels like to be calm, confident, kind, and resilient. The characters in the series face familiar situations — big emotions, small challenges, questions about fairness, patience, or friendship — and they respond in ways that encourage thoughtfulness without shame.

You won’t find perfection here. You’ll find presence. And presence is something every child can grow from.

What You Can Expect

This is a soft launch of the series. We’re starting gently, with just one theme and a few engaging stories to set the tone:

First Theme: I Am the Boss of My Emotions

This opening theme is about recognizing that while we feel emotions, we don’t have to be controlled by them. It’s not about ignoring sadness or forcing happiness — it’s about giving children language and imagery to understand what’s happening inside them. Over time, that understanding becomes confidence. And confidence becomes calm.

Each week, we’ll share:

  • A new story or chapter written in a warm, read-aloud voice

  • A printable coloring page that connects to the story’s theme

  • Occasionally, a simple activity or affirmation poster

You’re free to read, print, skip, or revisit — there’s no right pace. This is not a curriculum. It’s a companion.

Empowering Parents

We understand how personal parenting is. Every child is different. Every family has its own rhythm. This series isn’t here to replace anything you already value. It’s simply here as a resource — a gentle, heartfelt offering that might bring a few peaceful moments into your child’s day. We hope to empower parents while having fun.

If a story sparks a conversation, that’s wonderful. If a picture brings a smile, even better. If something doesn’t feel like a fit, you can leave it behind with no guilt. The point is: this space is yours to explore, not follow.

As The Human Equation Tapes Children’s Series continues, more themes will emerge — from kindness and resilience to balance, values, choices, and more — all presented in a friendly, emotionally safe way.

We’re glad you’re here. We invite you to browse the stories, enjoy the artwork, and see where the journey takes you and your child. One small step at a time.

Warmly,
The Human Equation Team

Children's Series #1: "I Am the Boss of My Emotions"

Empowering Parents though story telling: Confidence and self-awareness for children

Chapter One: The Day Everything Felt Too Big

In the sunny little town of Maplewood, where the sidewalks were chalky and the trees had names, there lived a brother and sister named Milo and Poppy Bright.

Milo was seven years old, serious about Legos and very serious about not liking green beans. Poppy was five and a half, a tiny tornado of curiosity with a stuffed owl named Mr. Hoot who wore a red ribbon and didn’t like loud noises.

They lived in a house with a blue door, a squeaky screen, and they had a golden retriever named Pickles who had no respect for personal space.

It was a good day.

Until it wasn’t.

Children's Series # 2: "I Can Do It"

I Can Do It Children's Blog Post

Chapter One: Benny the Bunny woke up feeling brave.

“Today,” he said, puffing out his chest, “I’m going to do everything by myself!”

He brushed his teeth without help, picked out his favorite blue shirt with the carrots on it, and even poured his own cereal. Milk sloshed a little bit on the table, but he cleaned it up with a napkin and smiled. “Big bunnies clean up too,” he told himself.

But the real challenge was waiting for him on the porch: his sneakers.

Children's Series #3: "The Friendship Fix"

The Friendship Fix Coloring Pages

Chapter One: The Chalk Castle Problem.

In the sunny little town of Maplewood, Milo and Poppy Bright were having one of those afternoons that started out perfect.

The sidewalk in front of their blue door was the best drawing spot in the whole neighborhood. It had just enough shade from the tree that Grandpa said was “old enough to remember secrets,” and it had the smoothest patch of concrete for chalk art.

Poppy held a piece of purple chalk like it was a magic wand.

Milo held a piece of black chalk like he was building a serious plan.

Pickles the golden retriever held a stick like it was an important job.

They were making a Chalk Castle.
